Indoor Pickups have limited availability and longer lead times. If possible, move your appliance to an outdoor location and schedule an Outdoor Pickup for faster service. Otherwise, proceed with Step 1 below. You will be asked to sign a damage waiver before our team can work on the unit inside the home.

Program qualifications:
- You must be an Xcel Energy residential electric customer living in Minnesota.
- Natural-gas-only residential customers are not eligible.
- You must be the owner of the refrigerator or freezer being recycled.
Appliance requirements for rebate:
- You must not recycle more than four working units per household, per program year.
- Your appliance must have a storage capacity between 10 and 30 cubic feet. Mini-fridges typically do not meet this capacity requirement to be eligible for participation.
- Your appliance must be in working order (e.g., cooling and/or freezing and the ability to make ice) when inspected at the time of pick up.
- Primary location (kitchen) and secondary location (garage/basement/other) refrigerators or freezers are accepted. Bottom freezers and side-by-side freezers can only be picked up from a main floor location.
- Refrigerators and freezers must have been manufactured in 2021 or earlier.
- Please ensure there is a clear path to the appliance.
- Ensure pets are crated or removed during an in-home pickup even if they are friendly.
- Ensure there is someone over 18 to release the appliance.
- Ensure your appliance is empty and free of food or mold.
- Ensure the water line is disconnected, our team is not able to disconnect it for you.
- Elevator access is required if the refrigerator or freezer unit is located above a second floor.
- Eligible units for a basement pickup; Dedicated Fridge, Dedicated Freezer and Fridge with Freezer on Top (all other types must be brought to the main floor by the customer).
- Dehumidifier and window/room AC units can be taken if a driver is scheduled to pick up a refrigerator or freezer. Please note: There are no rebate incentives for dehumidifiers or window/room AC units.
- We reserve the right to decline pickup for any appliance whose removal will put our team, the customer or the home at risk.
